I want to hear
The voice calling out to me
The soft little voice
In a still summer's night

I want to hear
The Shepherd's voice
Calling to a sheep
Lost in wilderness of life

I want to hear
The crackling of the fire
The unquenched, burning renewal
Of the Spirit of Grace

I want to hear
The sound of rushing waters
Flooding the nations
With abundance and life

I want to hear
The billowing of the wind
The gentle susurrations
Of the Wonderful Counselor

I want to hear
The rustling of the earth
The low, poignant groan
Of Creation awaiting its liberation

I want to hear
The joyous singing in Heaven
The voice of saints and angels
Joining in one symphony

I want to hear
The trumpets sounding
Calling to attention
The sons of the earth

I want to hear
The shouts of the angels
Announcing the arrival
Of the One True King

I want to hear
The voice of the Lord
Calling me to stand
Awaiting His return
